بيان حول:

إستمرار الجيش السوداني في إستخدام أسلحة كيميائية.

 

في ظل تصاعد الإنتهاكات الخطيرة التي يرتكبها الجيش السوداني في عدة مناطق من البلاد، وعلى رأسها إقليم دارفور وجبال النوبة والفونج الجديد، تعبّر الحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان – شمال عن إستنكارها و إدانتها لإستمرار الجيش السوداني في إستخدام أسلحة كيميائية محرّمة دوليا، وعلى رأسها غاز الخردل واللويسيت، ضد المدنيين العُزّل، في واحدة من أبشع الجرائم التي ترتقي إلى جرائم الحرب والجرائم ضد الإنسانية.

 

جريمة متكرّرة ومدانة دوليا:

 

لقد سبق أن وثّقت منظمة العفو الدولية، في تقريرها الشهير عام 2016 بعنوان “الأرض المحروقة، الهواء المسموم”, إستخدام الجيش السوداني لهذه الأسلحة ضد المدنيين في جبل مرة، حيث تم رصد 32 هجوما كيميائيا، أودت بحياة المئات، وتركت آثارا بيئية وصحية مدمّرة. إضافة إلى شهادات طبية عديدة عن إستخدام أسلحة كيماوية ضد مواطني جبال النوبة في 2014 – 2015.

 

وها نحن اليوم، بعد إندلاع الحرب في أبريل 2023، نواجه التكرار نفسه للجريمة، ولكن بصمت وتواطؤ أشد، حتى من أولئك الذين كانوا بالأمس يطالبون بالعدالة.

وقد تم توثيق:

 

-صور ومقاطع فيديو لسحب كيميائية في مناطق جبل موية والدندر وكرري وشرق النيل.

 

-تحليلات مخبرية لعينات تحتوي على الزرنيخ، المادة الفعالة في غاز اللويسيت.

 

-شهادات حية لضحايا انهارت أجسادهم دون إصابات ظاهرة، تعاني من أعراض متطابقة مع التعرض للمواد الكيميائية السامة.

 

-تقارير طبية سرية تؤكد الإصابات بالحروق الداخلية، وتآكل الرئة، والوفاة البطيئة نتيجة إختناق داخلي.

 

تحذير صريح لحكومة بورتسودان والجيش السوداني:

 

إننا في الحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان – شمال، نحمّل الجيش السوداني، وسلطة بورتسودان، وكافة القيادات العسكرية والمدنية المتواطئة، المسؤولية الكاملة عن إستخدام هذه الأسلحة المحرّمة، ونحذر بشدة من تكرار إستخدامها في أي جزء من السودان، خاصة في المناطق المحرّرة.

 

إن إستخدام الأسلحة الكيميائية لا يقتل الإنسان فقط، بل يدمّر الأرض، ويلوث المياه، ويقتل المواشي، ويحول البيئة إلى خراب لقرون قادمة. إنها جريمة تتجاوز السياسة لتصبح جريمة ضد الحياة ذاتها.

 

موقفنا وإجراءاتنا:

 

-نُعلن أننا في الحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان – شمال سنشرع فورًا في إتخاذ إجراءات إحترازية في المناطق المحررة، تشمل:

 

-رفع الوعي الصحي والبيئي حول أخطار الأسلحة الكيميائية.

-تأمين فرق الرصد البيئي والتوثيق الطبي.

 

-تقديم المعلومات إلى جهات دولية مختصة بجمع الأدلة حول جرائم الحرب.

 

-سنبدأ في ملاحقة كافة رموز سلطة بورتسودان والقيادات العسكرية المسؤولة عن هذه الجرائم أمام القضاء الدولي، بصفتهم مسؤولين مباشرين أو شركاء بالصمت والتستر.

 

-نطالب المجتمع الدولي، ومنظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية، واللجان التابعة للأمم المتحدة، بفتح تحقيق عاجل وشامل في كل المناطق المتأثرة، ومحاسبة مرتكبي الجرائم.

 

رسالة أخيرة:

نُحذّر الجيش السوداني وسلطة بورتسودان: إن أي استخدام جديد لهذه الأسلحة سيُقابل برصد كامل، وتوثيق دقيق، وملاحقة لا هوادة فيها.

 

الأسلحة الكيميائية ليست أداة بقاء .. بل دليل إدانة مكتمل لنظام لا يعرف شرف الخصومة ولا حرمة الحياة.

 

نُجدد التزامنا الكامل بالدفاع عن الإنسان، الأرض، والبيئة، ونُعلن أن كل من تلطّخت يداه بهذه الأسلحة، سيُواجه العدالة عاجلًا أو آجلًا، في أي ساحة قانونية كانت.

Statement on the Continuation of the Use of Chemical Weapons by the Sudanese Army

In light of the escalating and severe violations being committed by the Sudanese Armed Forces across multiple regions—most notably in Darfur, the Nuba Mountains, and East Nile, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM–N) strongly denounces and condemns the determination of the Sudanese army to continue the use of internationally banned chemical weapons, including mustard gas and lewisite, against unarmed civilians. These heinous acts amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

A Repeated Crime Condemned Internationally

This is not the first time these crimes have occurred. Amnesty International’s well-known 2016 report titled “Scorched Earth, Poisoned Air” documented the use of chemical weapons by the Sudanese Armed Forces in Jebel Marra, with evidence of 32 chemical attacks that killed hundreds and caused long-term environmental and public health destruction.

Moreover, multiple medical testimonies also confirm the use of chemical weapons against civilians in the Nuba Mountains during 2014–2015.

Today, following the outbreak of the war in April 2023, the same crimes are being repeated—with even greater silence and complicity, including from those who once called for justice.

The following have been documented:

• Photos and video footage showing chemical clouds in Jabal Moya, Dinder, Karari, and East Nile.

• Laboratory analyses of samples containing arsenic, the active component in Lewisite gas.

• First-hand testimonies from victims whose bodies collapsed without visible injury, showing symptoms consistent with exposure to toxic chemical agents.

• Confidential medical reports confirming cases of internal burns, lung corrosion, and slow deaths caused by internal suffocation.

A Direct Warning to the Port Sudan Authorities and the Sudanese Army

We in the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM–N) hold the Sudanese Armed Forces, the Port Sudan de facto authorities, and all complicit military and civilian leaders fully responsible for the use of these banned weapons. We issue a clear and urgent warning against any further use of such weapons anywhere in Sudan, particularly in the liberated areas.

The use of chemical weapons does not only kill human beings—it destroys the land, contaminates water, kills livestock, and renders the environment uninhabitable for centuries. It is not merely a political crime but a crime against life itself.

Our Position and Planned Actions:

• The SPLM–N will immediately implement precautionary measures in liberated areas, including:

• Public health and environmental awareness campaigns about the dangers of chemical weapons.

• Deployment of ecological monitoring and medical documentation teams;

• Submit verified data to international bodies tasked with collecting evidence on war crimes.

1. We will initiate legal action against all figures in the Port Sudan authorities and military leadership involved in these crimes, whether as direct perpetrators or as accomplices, through silence and concealment.

2. We call upon the international community, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), and relevant United Nations bodies to urgently launch a comprehensive investigation in all affected areas and hold perpetrators accountable.

Final Message:

We warn the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Port Sudan authorities: Any renewed use of chemical weapons will be met with full-scale documentation, monitoring, and relentless legal pursuit.

Chemical weapons are not a tool of survival—they are undeniable proof of guilt and a stain on a regime that has neither honour in war nor regard for human life.

We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to defending human life, the land, and the environment and declare that all those whose hands are stained with these weapons will face justice—sooner or later, in every appropriate legal forum.
